He’s lean and tone but not buff. His eyes can range anywhere for a bright, sharp blue to a soft, foggy type of blue. He tends to follow the latest fashions, and shops at places like Hollister and A&F. He takes the “business casual” dress code at work to the limit, usually only wearing a button down shirt, jeans, and either dark sneakers or dress shoes.

personality: Born and raised in Los Angeles and having the name Benjamin Barker in the early 80’s, it only made sense that Ben would grow up to perform. He is very laid back and casual, rarely wanting to put on more than a pair of jeans and tee shirt. His personality is the same way. He’s very easy to get along with and talk to. Ben tries to make everyone around him laugh, if not with a joke then with a impersonation of someone. He’s very good at accents and the like because of his acting schooling.
He’s not much into looking for a relationship, but believes that any person that he’s meant to spend time like that with will find him on accident. Hey enjoys soccer, lacrosse and will watch pretty much any sport but can’t say he has a favorite team he follows. He also likes to surf, and will take a few weeks a summer to go home to California and spend time on the beach.
backhistory: Benjamin Barker was born and raised in Beverly Hills, California. His parents, Susan and Thomas Barker were high school sweethearts and married in early 1978. Thomas was in the beginning stages of becoming a successfully lawyer and by the time Ben was born in ’81 they were living in their first (but small for “the Hill” standards) Beverly Hills house after Thomas had been made a partner in one of the largest firms in LA.
Even though he came from a well to do family, Ben was raised to work and support his own once he was out in college. Even while he attended school, he worked to have his own spending money, trying to rely on his parents as little as possible. In high school he worked at a car wash and then a small coffee shop during college.
He graduated in 2004 from Clemson University with a degree in Education and Theater. After searching around for a school to teach Theater and Acting in, he found the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts where he became the head teacher in the Theater department. Where he’s been teaching ever since.
On March 13th 2005 Benjamin’s parents were killed in a tragic car wreck. He took three weeks off school and stayed out in LA, taking care of arrangements and talking with his family’s lawyer. The unfortunate loss left him with all his parents belongs, as well as the stocks, bonds, and their property in Beverly Hills, which though he grew up in, it held too many memories and he sold it. It’s still very painful for him to talk about, and when he sees news about a car wreck, he’ll change the channel or get rid of the paper.
